Dakota Weightlifting Club

The Dakota Weightlifting Club trains out of CrossFit Winnipeg and provides education, training, and competitive opportunities for lifters of all ages. Dakota specializes in teaching people how to safely move the barbell with proper technique, no matter your age or background.

The weightlifting program is run by Head Coach Terry Hadlow, who has been involved in weightlifting for nearly 5 decades. As a competitor, Terry has won medals in the 1978 Commonwealth Games and 1979 Pan Am Games, and was selected to the 1980 and 1984 Canadian Olympic teams. He has competed in five senior world championships, with a best finish of 12th in Moscow in 1983, with lifts of 155-185 at 90kg. Terry has also coached many of Canada’s top athletes.

Regular training runs 7 days a week, with both morning and evening sessions. For further information, please visit our website:
