Hot off the presses are results from the recent Twin City Open held in Burnsville, MN. on October 6, 2012.
Manitoba was well represented by six athletes, three officials, and two coaches.

WOMEN ALL WEIGH 10:00 AM LIFT NOON
MEN 85,94 WEIGH NOON LIFT 2:00 PM
MEN 105, 105+ WEIGH 2:00 PM LIFT 4:00 PMIF YOU WANT TO TRAIN ON FRIDAY, THE TEAM SPARTACUS FACILITY WILL BE OPEN BETWEEN 5:00 pm-7:00 PM-SEE ATTACHED DIRECTIONS.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE CONTEST IN IN THE GYM ON THE FIRST FLOOR AND THE WARM UP IS ON THE SECOND FLOOR. WE REALIZE THIS IS A BIT NOT OPTIMAL, BUT ASK YOU TO MAKE THE BEST OF IT. IT SHOULD BE MANAGEABLE.
THE SCHOOL IS RIGHT ON HIGHWAY 13 AND THERE IS A U SHAPED SERIES OF POSSIBLE ENTRY WAYS. USE THE ONE MARKED GYMNASIUM ON THE RIGHT (EAST) SIDE OF THE U.

Results – Hercules Fun Competition

Held on August 29th and 30th, the Hercules Club held a summer competition with a unique and challenging format.

The fun competition marked the end of the summer training program. A BBQ followed the second day of the competition and provided an excellent opportunity for the club members to socialize. Looking forward, the Hercules group will begin preparatory training phase for the fall competition season. Thanks everyone for your excellent participation and competitive spirit.

2012 Canadian National Championships Report

On the weekend of June 2nd and 3rd, a contingent of five athletes, two officials, a coach and a team manager set out for La Prairie, QC. for a weekend of big lifts and Franglais conversations. The event decided the national champions for the upcoming year, and being the last major championship of the current Olympic quadrennial, it also served as the final qualification event to determine the selection and ranking of Canadian weightlifters for the London Olympic Games.
