Hello again weightlifting fans. Check out the latest addition to a growing collection of Manitoba Weightlifting history: MWA 1975-1984 (link).

This set of photographs has been graciously shared by Kelly Coubrough. All of the photographs are dated by year at the end of the file name, though only a few contain the details of location and/or competition. If you can remember where some of these competitions took place, drop us a line via the website feedback form (link) on this site.

Many thanks to Mirek Korkowski for submitting a bundle of images and video clips from competitions both here and abroad.

Check out the Gallery section for what we hope to be the beginnings of a great collection of both recent and not-so-recent Manitoba weightlifting history.

Also, thank you to all who responded in the most recent front page survey.  You said loud and clear that you were interested in seeing an online “Hall of Fame” section for Manitoba weightlifting, along with Question and Answer sessions with athletes, coaches, and officials.  Stay tuned for further updates on both of these elements.

And just in case you were wondering, we are always open for submissions for this or any other section on the website.  If your closets and albums are filled with photographs from competitions and trips past, we want to hear from you!
